Wider Time Attack Smurf

Back in 2015, I had a chance to see Evasive’s first version of the Time Attack Smurf with the Voltex aero love, HKS supercharger, gorgeous roll cage, it was just a perfect S2000 build/goals. How could it get better? How can someone top a perfect balance of looks and speed to an S2000.

Evasive has been teasing us for a few weeks that Voltex Racing newest aero kit will come to the US for its SEMA reveal. The above video came out during SEMA week and it just gave me goosebumps on what to expect when seeing it in person.

We finally got to the booth and the Smurf did not disappoint. It’s not a widebody kit, its a hugeeeebody kit. It’s insane how wide the new Voltex Racing kit is. The front splitter, the fenders, the spoiler, oh man oh man, after snapping pictures I just stopped and looked at it more, seeing the vents in the fenders, the bumps and shape of the rear quarter panels, it just oozes fast on the track. Good thing it’s already equipped with a TODA 2.3L stroker engine, HKS SC kit, OS Giken 7speed sequential trans, this will scoot. Enough talking, enjoy the pictures and show some love. More SEMA coverage coming throughout the month!

Wekfest 2017

What a way to end the year with an awesome show like Wekfest. This is my 2nd year attending and plenty of amazing builds, with a lot of them seeing for the first time. With this show concentrating more on the builds you definitely saw a much higher caliber of builds than most shows that Florida hosts. A lot of people bring their A game to this, with plenty of unique and creative takes on cars. Not going to bore you with the details, so i’ll let my photos speak for themselves. I guess we’ll see what 2018 holds for me, The Rolex is up in the air for me right now, hopefully I can get in again but it’s not looking in my favor. Thank you so much everyone that has peeked through my post and photos, it does mean a lot. Till next time.

Simply Clean Nine

It’s been a quite year on the photography side of my life. I’ve had lots of personal events happen to me throughout the year, not to go too much into detail but I almost died do to some issues with my liver. But here I am, alive, strong, and ready to get back to what I love doing. For this year’s Simply Clean it would be 11 months since I’ve done anything with my camera. Had to break in the new year with a good piece of glass to rent. I’ve always wanted to try out Sigma’s Art Series Lenses, so I picked up their 35mm Art Lens and wow it is amazing! I wish I had the USB lens dock to further calibrate the lens to my 1Dmark3 but it worked really well out side of the box. Sadly the weather didn’t play 100% so it kept wanting to focus on the clouds on the paint of the vehicles. Plus being almost a year out of practice it took a few dozen shots to get back into groove of things.

The event itself though was amazing, I think this year I saw more friends than ever. I can’t thank Nickoli enough for creating this event and making it better and better every year. Since the first event I always felt I was home surrounded by friends with one passion. Enough of me blabbing, expect one more coverage next month for Wekfest. Again, enjoy the snaps!

That Rough Life – RWB Orlando

Hope everyone had a safe and happy new year’s over the weekend. It’s been a rollercoaster of a year for me, but I’m glad where things are heading. Photography wasn’t my highest point for the year 2016 from the previous years, I’m hoping to change that this year. My biggest photography event has been The Rolex 24hours so I’m hoping to get media credentials to bring you some crazy photos. Lots of car meetups coming this year, Eibach will be coming to Florida for the first time for a huge Honda Meet, maybe going up to TN again for the Riverside Meet Up 2, going up to Virginia for Spring Fest, and maybe SEMA this year. Hope you guys stick around, it’s going to be a busy year for my camera.

For now here’s a quick shoot of Joseph’s gorgeous 993 RWB Porsche at last month’s Winterfest Meetup in Tampa. There’s also a sweet mini documentary of the buildup made by Krispy. Enjoy the video and my shots, get ready for The Rolex!

Busy Shutter

What’s going on everyone? I do apologize for the lack of updates. It’s been a busy last few weeks. The biggest weekend started on the 29th for me of January, it was my first time being an actual official media photographer at Daytona Speedworld for the 2016 24hours of the Rolex. Covering the event for both Enjuku Racing and S3 Magazine, I was a bit nervous to say the least. I’ll be posting my full coverage soon.

But for a little down time, I was able to attend my first S2000 Mega Meet in over 3 years. The host none other than Kamispeed was there with open doors to welcome us S2000 owners like the previous years. I snapped a few pictures, but I was more talking to owners and friends more. Sadly it was cut really short by good old Florida rain. Enjoy the few shots and stay tuned for my Rolex 24 coverage!

Just Add JDM Spice and Mix

I come from the JDM side of the car scene, I’m use to seeing TE37’s, RG2s, fender flares, and big wings on cars. Just recently migrating to the euro scene it’s rare to see Audi’s, Mercedes, volkswagens with JDM wheels and what have you. What’s funny is that I asked my friend “I wonder how TE37s would look on my A4 Avant.” Oh what an awesome surprise that awaited me in Vegas.

The crew over at Allroad Outfitters answered the question for me. They equipped their vehicles with an array of JDM flavor. First up was this black Audi SQ5, lowered on KW Suspension not on bags like the norm. A set of black TE37s with fat meatty tires all the way around. I couldn’t believe how clean and simple this set up was on a SUV. Then at the corner of my eye, a huge APR spoiler bolted on a flared out S4 shined in the sunlight. A car i’ve only seen on instagram was right before my eyes. 100% custom carbon fiber flares front and rear, allowing those 18×12 ZE40s to wear 335 Toyo Tires all the way around. Yes, 335 tires on all corners, jaw was dropped. Their latest car to the crew I didn’t find till the next day in the Toyo Tires section. There actually talked to one of the guys from Allroad Outfitters, super nice dude, and I’m sad to say that his name escapes my mind at this moment. A brand new Audi S3, fitted with their latest custom made flare set to make this beauty even wider from the factory. A set of blood red TE37RTs with yet again 335 Toyo Tires all the way around. It’s amazing how much room is still left to play with these flares slapped on.

Well I’m converted! I love my audi even more now that it can pull off any look it wants. You can go all VIP Show or full on street race car look. Allroad Outfitters definitely has me looking at my Avant very differently than before.

I got J’s on my feet

Here’s another mini article from SEMA last year, I almost didn’t see S2000 as it was wedged between lifted Jeeps and Trucks. My eyes lit up when I saw it, I’ve never seen the new J’s Racing GT Widebody kit in person. Even crazier it was a carbon kit, big money just for the kit itself. This S2000 was just a real life REVHARD Magazine, so many JDM parts on it. ProjectU brakes, J’s Racing Type V CF Hood, Recaro Limited RS-G Bucket seat, CF Mugen Top, just so many cool parts that dress this widebody S2000. Enjoy the pictures everyone, until the next feature!

First Random Snaps of 2016

2015 was such an up and down year for me. I can get into the whole personal stuff, but it gets no one anywhere. What’s done is done, now for my photography work for 2015 it has been a huge jump in exposure. Again, this is still a hobby of mine as I would love for it to be my full-time job, but I’m still not there yet personally. This past year I’ve made so many new friends, met many followers. It’s surreal at times when I get stopped at shows to say ‘hey man i follow you, love your work/car’ it’s an awesome feeling I must admit. Lately my photography has been more as therapy, either hanging out with friends, by myself, it’s something about dusting off my camera and I look through that viewfinder and my worries just leaves my mind.

I needed that today so my buddy Mike woke me up around 11am and told me to meet him at the Starbucks near downtown Eau Gallie. It’s been over 2 weeks since I’ve moved my S2000 as well, so that was another treat for today. After some much-needed caffeine we drove around and spotted some cool locations for some pictures. We’re not much known for cool graffiti walls so there’s only so much we can shoot around here. It was the right amount to get me out of this funk and I appreciate Mike for getting me out. Anyways, here are the couple snaps. Lots going on these next few months though so I can’t wait to show you all the upcoming Motorsports events and meets and shows!

Big Wings, Wide Hips, Loud Colors, RWB Invades Vegas

Decided to combine all of my RWB pictures into one article. Most of them were corral at the iForged Wheels booth, which introduced the latest RWB vehicle to the west coast family. The 1973 RSR Backdated Porsche by the CYC Trading Group was jaw dropping gorgeous. I’m still trying to get my Porsche termanology down so please excuse me butchering the codes. You then had 2 993’s and 2 964’s in the lineup. Everything from wild track setup to a low-wide cruiser. I was really partial to the Orange RWB by the Creaminz crew. After about 20 mins of shooting almost every angle of each car, I took about 10 mins to myself to just admire these cars. You see all these build videos of different porsches being cut, and riveted, paint, massaged by Nakai-San and then you finally see them in person, it’s like a religious experience. You feel like you’ve known the car since day one, through it’s whole build process. Enjoy the pictures, I’m not sure what I’ll be posting yet, but tune in again next monday!

What Happens in Vegas, Get’s Posted on Instagram

Well, this time last week I went over to a city that never sleeps, good ole Las Vegas for this year’s SEMA show. Well, I won’t go too much into it as this year I took well over 3,000 pictures. So today I was trying to figure out how to present my 4 day adventure without drowning people with so many pictures. So I came up with this, I’ll be presenting each week a different theme at SEMA and some with just one car since I took a bunch of just one car at the show. So we’ll do something like, Imports of SEMA, Trucks of SEMA, RWB’s at SEMA, the Toyo Tires Booth Cars of SEMA, and so forth. Still trying to fine tune what I’ll be posting but you get the gist of it. Anyways, enjoy a few pictures until hopefully Wednesday or Thursday, trying to get at least one article up before Simply Clean 7 meet this weekend…ugh! Such a busy month! Enjoy guys!
